Out of all of the characteristics listed in our text book, I would have to say that my greatest strength is my willingness to delegate and empower the people in my group. I believe that a leader should divide out the work equally between the members of the group so that everyone feels like an important part of the process. I believe that everyone should be able to have an opinion and be able to express it to the group. The leader should be able to combine every ones ideas into one strategic plan and be able to communicate with the entire group to make sure everyone is doing their jobs and are happy with the work the other members of the group are doing. I have demonstrated these kinds of beliefs in past school projects I've worked in and during my group internship project this summer.
My weakness would probably be the amount of commitment I would be able to give for this project because of all the other projects I have to do for other classes and having Rugby practice every night for the couple months. This summer I was able to give 100% to my internship and I felt confident that I was doing a good job contributing to my project. However, being at school and having a lot more responsibilities and obligations here, I don't know how much time I can commit into leading a project such as this.

In support of your leadership - Lindsy Girad
Karli-Mae i would want to be in a group that you lead because i wrote that one of my weaknesses is the willingness to delegate and empower people in my group so i think that it is good that you have that quality and i could learn from you.
I would like you to be my group leader becasue being able to let people know what there job is and how oyu want them to do it is a very difficult thing to do. Some people are affraid of upsetting someone. This makes me feel that you would do whats right for the group and not just to make people happy.
Karli-Mae would make an excellent group leader because she would (as she stated) make everyone feel important to the whole process. Feeling important to a group is a big deal because if a member does not feel needed/wanted, then they will not care about the group at all causing the rest of the members to take on the load of an extra person.
As far as Karli-Mae's weakness is concerned it can be an issue; however, it could also be an underlying strength. There is a saying that I heard from a very wise professor: "a busy person will always get it done."
Karli-Mae, I would want you as a leader because your characteristic that you are strong in is what is most needed in the project that we are going to be working on. You are able to define your strength in the area as well as your leadership, and although your weakness is commitment, that is always something that can be approved upon and from what i know about you, you seem to be very commited to things you strive for!
