Out of the six choices, I would have to say that Emotional Intelligence is my strong point. Running my own landscaping company this past summer, I had to deal with many customers and many employees. With the employees, I had to know what type of mood they were in and to know if they were going to be polite enough to talk to the customers. If they werent i would find another employee to do so. With the customers it was a little more difficult. The customers were hard because their moods would change so fast. Another reason I chose Emotional Intelligence is becuase I have patience and the willingness to make a friend to keep a customer. I am not all about the money either, I loved to work and didnt care how much money I bring in.
I would have to say that being well informed is my weak point. The reason for this is that my job changes day to day. There really is no set job schedule so it is hard to be well informed. But this can be a plus because it does not make the job repetitive. This is also bad for me because my employees are always asking, "what is going on for the rest of the week", and all I can tell them is "I dont know".

In Support of Your Leadership- Beth Ellis
I believe that you would be a great leader if not simply for the fact that you have had experience in the workforce as a leader. Running a business is a very difficult task, and if you found success while running this business then I would fully support you as a leader in this class. As you state that your weakness is staying well informed, the situation you were in this summer is very different from this classroom situation. With a group project, the tasks are well outlined far in advance, and therefore I don’t foresee a problem with your ability to stay informed in a situation such as this. For these reasons, I would be fully in your support as a leader in this class.

I feel as though Jason would be an unbelievable leader for a group project. I came to this conclusion because he was able to run his own landscaping business very effectively and percisely. One of the hardest things to do is working with people and the public. Jason seems to be able to handle that situation very well. Being informed is not a problem in the class because we can communicate very easily with one another either by email or by phone so I don't think that would be a problem.
You have found different strategies that work and that do not work while running your lanscaping business. This comes by experience and that is why I support you as a leader. Customer relation skills are key to the success of a business or organization. Most lanscaping businesses are left not knowing what job will come next. I think that your weakness of being well informed is not going to hurt you at all in any other leadership situations, as you have now had experience to act upon anything no matter the time constrant.
